Living in harmony with the nature, not against it - that's the basic principle of this product. Our focus is the utilization of the energetic processes of natural materials.

While trees grow, they store solar energy, which mankind releases again in wintertime when we heat our houses. The sun gives us this energy again and again! When we burn wood, it releases the same amount of carbon dioxide, which will be released while the decomposition of wood in the forest. In case of a sustainable cultivating of the forests this gas will be included in the next growing process again. Clean wood heating systems are neutral for the environment and don’t contribute to the change in climate, the greenhouse effect. Therefore a firewood carbon dioxide tax is nothing to be afraid of. A modern wood-heating system guarantees clean exhaust values: nearly pure steam and carbon dioxide are emitted, the same what we exhale too.

For a Farmer cubic meter of timber can be worth 200-litre oil.

Since the introduction of grant aid and yearly premiums for forestations, many farmers planted some of their land with trees. The majority of those new plantations were done in the period between 1990 and 2000. Irish Government is promoting actively a thinning program for these new forest plantations as it increases the quality and value of the final crop.

However, with the first thinning coming up between year 12 and 20, the size and volume of it will in almost all of the cases be not saleable and therefore will lead to a loss of income.

A solution to the problem could be the replacement of the existing kitchen range or oil burner with a Woodgasifier to heat the farmers dwelling with the otherwise uneconomic thinning.

Since 1994 these wood gasifying boilers are operating throughout Europe

DIN 4702 part 1 and part 4

For farmers the advantage of this gasifier system can be described with the following headings:

  • The farmer is able to do the thinning himself during wintertime where the workload on the farm is reduced.
  • The farmer is usually already equipped with and able to handle the needed machinery like tractor, trailer and chainsaw.
  • Unlike wood pellets or wood chips, after cutting into round logs (2-3 foot long), no further processing is needed. The wood generally does not have to be split, and can even be used when slightly damp.
  • The drying process is reduced to “stacking the logs” outside for approx. 6 to 12 month with a cover on top. No building is needed to protect the logs from the rain.
  • The gasifier itself can be set up outside the dwelling, so the usual dirt and dust stays out of the dwelling.
  • Depending on the energy demand required, an efficient water-heat storage system can mean the boiler needs to be operated only every 2-4 days, and once a week for a high quality energy saving house.
  • HV 35 and HV 22:wood-gasifying-boiler for for logs up to a length of 0,5 m, 250 l feeding volume
  • HV 49 and HV 65: for logs up to a length of 1 m, 500 l feeding volume
  • HV 145: powers until 180 kW, feeding volumes 1200 l wood - the right dimension for schools, greenhouses, hotels etc.
  • HV 14: feeding volume 300 l wood; burns constantly 24 hours with a power of 14 kW. Developed especially for very cold regions

What is a Wood Gasifier ?

(efficient,comfortable, innovative)

Every day the sun sends 15,000 times more energy to the earth than the mankind actual needs.

The plants of our forests and fields, in their biomass, will store this energy unbeatably cheaply.

The Wood Gasifier enables you as a farmer and forester to use this gift of nature in a comfortable, eco-friendly and safe way.

This modern burner is equipped with a quiet, revs per minute-controlled blower, which sucks the gases through the combustion chamber and the tube bundled heat exchange. This process enables the best combustion and a nearly smokeless heating system. The tubes of the heat exchanger pass off vertically, therefore ashes can’t cover the heat exchange tubes and the cleaning effort is very low.

The covering of the boiler is made of stainless sheet steel. Inside of this covering there is an insulating layer of 2 cm made of foamed caoutchouc. Meaning the heat emission of the boiler itself is under 1%.

The electronic control enables an individual programming of the exhaust gas temperature. It is possible to program values above 170°C to use a high temperature for a positive influence on the efficiency factor of the boiler. The exhaust gas temperature at the chimney has to be between 70-90°C to avoid the precipitate of pitch or the condensation of steam. With an adaptive control of the exhaust gas temperatures between 190-235°C the boiler reaches an efficiency factor of 84-88%.

The burning chamber is separated into the upper whirl chamber and the lower after-burning chamber. The walls of the burning chamber get up to 1000°C while working. A very heat-resistant insulation layer separates the burning chamber from the water-cooled steel boiler. The burning gases will be whirled, so an intensive colour of the flames results. This burning technology causes a complete burning process and consequently excellent exhaust values.

Wood ash is a good fertilizer for the garden. But wood includes only 0,4% ash, so there is only half a pail of ash per week.

Simple
The firewood is to feed into the gasifying chamber, where the wood gas will be produced. To avoid hollow-burning inside the fed wood, the gasifying chamber has an oval cross-section. On each side, primary air supply supports the complete burning of the wood. The comprehensible electronic control regulates the blower, the air supply and the unloading pump. Also it measures the boiler- and the exhaust temperature and displays them on a red luminous display. By means of the individual programming it is possible to optimise the equipment in relation to the existing chimney and the quality of the firewood.

Clean
The ceramic lining causes higher interior wall temperatures. So the wood gasifies much better and there’s no deposition of tar. The wood gases will be sucked through the slot nozzle into the ceramic whirl combustion chamber. Here the gas will be mixed and burnt with the reverse supplied, highly pre-heated secondary air. Because the gases are following a long way through the, highly heated, lower after-combustion chamber, the burning process gets the needed reaction time.

Guarantee
The materials the boilers are made of are completely produced in the EU with quality controlled raw material. The high dimension of the steel boiler body is the reason for the enormous weight of our boilers. The burning process takes place in high quality ceramic chambers. The boiler coat and even the grate inside the slot nozzle are made of highly alloyed, fireproof stainless steel.
Everything is designed for long lasting without depreciation. Therefore the period of guarantee for our boilers comes to 6 years.

We are proud, that we have successfully secured the agency in Ireland for this product and we have installed since May 2005 the first HV65 on our own property here in Glenties Co. Donegal. The Gasifier heats our newly developed Farm-and Guesthouse.
